Since the media player launched over a decade ago, the only way to watch Apple TV was on one of the brand’s devices. As of this month, however, the Apple TV app is downloadable from the Roku Channel Store and accessible via devices like the line of streaming players including the Express, Premiere and others.

Following installation, viewers can select content, browse their iTunes video library and subscribe to proprietary channels. And, starting on Nov. 1, Apple TV+ subscription ($5.99 per month) will also be offered within the app unlocking exclusive all-original shows, movies and documentaries featuring A-list artists and storytellers like Jennifer Anniston, Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams and many more. Once subscribed, it becomes available on all of a user’s compatible devices that have the app i.e. an iPhone, iPad, Mac computer etc.

“With the Apple TV app coming to Roku, our customers will enjoy an even broader range of exciting entertainment, including the highly anticipated Apple TV+ service,” said Scott Rosenberg, senior vice president and general manager of platform business. “Roku is a valuable partner for content providers looking to reach a large and engaged audience, and we’re looking forward to bringing this new option to Roku users.”
