If you don’t exactly know what a spot prawn is, the Chef’s Table Society of British Columbia — that puts on the event each year — defines it on their website as “a delicacy known around the world for their sweet, delicate flavour and firm texture. They are most recognizable for their reddish brown colour, which turns bright pink when cooked, defining white spots on their tail and white horizontal bars on the carapace.”
The purpose of the Spot Prawn Festival on May 17 is to celebrate the start of the season taking place in B.C.’s coastal waters, as well as educate consumers on the subject and, of course, enjoy some fresh-from-the-boat prawns.
The price for a single admission ticket is $17.50 plus taxes, which includes a sample plate, side dishes, bread from Terra Breads, and access to the drink tent that will pouring coffee, beer and wine tasters. All proceeds go towards supporting the society.
The Spot Prawn Festival is held at False Creek Fisherman’s Wharf (1505 West 1st Ave.)

Greetings from Colorado! I’m bored at work so I decided to check out your site on my iphone during lunch break. I love the information you provide here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home. I’m surprised at how quick your blog loaded on my mobile .. I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G .. Anyhow, very good blog!
This design is steller! You certainly know how to keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Fantastic job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
I’m truly enjoying the design and layout of your blog. It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more pleasant for me to come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a developer to create your theme? Great work!
