Who says beer and wine enthusiasts don’t get along? Both parties gathered under one roof last night at Vancouver’s Craft Beer Market for the March Mash-Up Madness launch event, which showcased some spring products by two featured companies. Blasted Church Vineyards, from Okanagan Falls, B.C., came and poured glasses of their Gewürztraminer, Unorthadox Chardonnay and Merlot, and the folks from Steamworks had samples of Pilsner, IPAnema White and, my favourite, Jasmine IPA for for guests to try. Nibbles were provided by the host venue.

People were also invited to enter a contest where the winner and three friends get flown to the Okanagan to visit Blasted Church for lunch, followed by a dinner at Steamworks. Don’t fret if you couldn’t attend, you can enter online here.
