There are few things more satisfying in life than warming up with a cup of hot chocolate in the wintertime. A great place to do that is at the sixth annual Hot Chocolate Festival, taking place now until Feb. 14.
Two dozen local businesses are participating, serving up custom creations for the event. One such company is 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters located at 2902 Main St., who will be offering three different drinks: the lavender-infused Bee’s Knees dark hot chocolate, the Saturday Nut Fever milk chocolate and hazelnut hot chocolate, and their classic hot chocolate served with a doughnut from Lucky’s Doughnuts.
A walking map is provided on the website to help guide patrons from venue to venue. The festival raises funds for Downtown Eastside Women’s Job Training Program.
