Experience Michelin on the Road dinner at Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar

Vancouver may not have any Michelin Starred restaurants, but foodies will be able to experience the next best thing at Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar in a few weeks, as part of the Michelin on the Road program.

The Burrard Street seafood eatery is hosting a special dinner on June 27 at 6:30 p.m. featuring creations by executive chef Roger Ma and his former colleague Melissa Rodriguez, chef and partner of New York City’s Del Posto that is published in the tire company’s famed annual red guide.

For $225 per person, plus tax and gratuity, guests will be treated to a cocktail-and-canapé reception and a six-course collaborative menu showcasing the unique culinary talents of the duo. Accompanying the meal are wine pairings selected from Jackson Family Wines.

“It’s an honour to welcome a friend and culinary talent like Melissa, who is not just an accomplished chef in her own right but also a role model and mentor for so many up-and-coming cooks and chefs,” said Ma, who worked with Rodriguez in 2006 at Daniel, a two-star establishment in NYC. “We’re excited to cook together once again and pull out all the stops to present a one-of-a-kind dining experience.”

Michelin on the Road brings together the greatest chefs from around the world to combine their unique talents and host inspired events in restaurants like Boulevard, that was named one of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants for 2019, and unexpected settings. Last year, the tour landed for the first time in Vancouver at L’Abattoir in Gastown in partnership with Chicago-based Boka.
