If you were a patron of the old V Lounge upstairs in Earls Yaletown, you’ll be amazed at what they’ve done with the space now simply called “The Loft.”
Open for about a month now, the rebranded space now sports a classy and casual atmosphere with plenty of wood and brick furnishings, neat decorations and even a life-sized model horse.
A group of guests were invited to an official opening of The Loft on Thursday where servers doled out a wide variety of canapés like halibut tacos and prosciutto. There was a bar in the middle of the room pouring out speciality cocktails, but the hit of the night was a table at the back where classic Old Fashioneds were mixed up using Maker’s Mark bourbon from Kentucky.
Former regulars will be happy to know that the spacious private room still exists — a musician inside was playing covers all night and The Collective You, a local photography company, was taking black and white portraits for anyone willing to line up.
The Loft is located on the second floor of Earls Kitchen + Bar in Yaletown, and is open on weekends. See below for more pictures.
