Get ready to party in style this Oktoberfest at the new Harvestland, the biggest harvest festival of its kind in Canada.
Taking place October 10 to 20 at the expansive Hastings Park grounds and PNE Forum, Harvestland is a celebration of community, nature, agriculture, exploration and imagination with rides, attractions, food, and entertainers. The event is a joint venture between The Social Concierge, that also organizes the annual Harvest Haus, producers Collective X and the Pacific National Exhibition.
“We wanted to do something truly spectacular for the fifth anniversary of Harvest Haus,” says The Social Concierge co-founder Tyson Villeneuve. “By continuing our collaboration with Collective X and partnering with the PNE for Harvestland, we’ll be launching the largest harvest event in the country.”
Featuring dozens of attractions ranging from tractor rides to logger sports shows to pumpkin carving and theatrical entertainers, there will be something for everyone. Guests will also enjoy a colourful Bavarian Village, a mysterious Woodland Labyrinth, and the interactive Kinder Farm for the kids.
PNE president CEO Shelley Frost echoed Villeneuve’s anticipation.
“We’re thrilled to be the home of such an ambitious and exciting event,” says Frost. “This is an event that will draw people of all ages from across the region, and offers a wide range of both adult and family-friendly programming.”
The celebration will also host the return of the 19+ Harvest Haus, running evenings on October 10 to 12 and October 18 and 19 under the great Halle marquee. Slip into dirndls and lederhosen for an evening of classic tunes and oompah bands, pretzels, branded steins and a dizzying selection of libations from a großmenü of international beers and spirits.
